Center for Jewish History Upcoming Fellowship Program

The 2015 research seminar on Archival and Historical Research is a four-day program for rising college seniors, MA students and first- and second-year doctoral students to learn the skills of conducting archival research at one of the premier research libraries in the United States. It will welcome students from various disciplines including history, Jewish studies, literature, religion, politics, sociology, anthropology, as well as area and regional studies.

Eligibility

Applications are welcome from rising college seniors, recent university and college graduates, MA students, and PhD candidates in their first two years of matriculation.

Application Guidelines

  1. Cover letter that briefly addresses your interest in participating in the research seminar, knowledge of foreign languages, and previous use of archives or special collections.
  2. Three-page proposal addressing why you would benefit from participating in the Center for Jewish History Seminar and how the seminar fits in with your long-term goals.
  3. Curriculum Vitae.
  4. One letter of recommendation from a faculty member.

All application materials should be submitted as one continuous PDF or Word file to fellowships@cjh.org. Letters of recommendation should be submitted under separate cover, preferably by email to fellowships@cjh.org.
